Albany Area Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event
The Albany Area Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is held at:

Household hazardous waste collection events for residents are held once per year on the 2nd Saturday of October, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
There is no cost for residential customers. This includes household quantities (5 gallons maximum) of:
- Paint, motor oil, and other automotive fluids
- Batteries, fluorescent tubes, and electronics
- Pesticides and herbicides
These materials will be safely managed and, whenever possible, recycled or recovered for future use.
The following items will not be accepted:
- Business or industrial waste
- Ammunition, explosives, and fireworks
- Biological or medical waste and sharps

Commercial Customers:
Businesses may dispose of hazardous waste on the 2nd Friday of October, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Advance scheduling is required, and charges apply. To schedule a commercial drop-off appointment, please call 279.265.5876.

Accepted Items: Computers, monitors having a viewable area greater than four inches measured diagonally, TVs, printers, keyboards and mice, VCRs, music players, DVD players, game consoles, digital converter boxes, cable receivers, satellite receivers, routers and modems.
