REPUBLIC SERVICES’ LEADERS NAMED TO INSTITUTIONAL INVESTOR MAGAZINE’S 2010 ALL-AMERICAN

PHOENIX—March 11, 2010— According to Institutional Investor magazine’s annual “U.S. Investor Relations” rankings, Republic Services (NYSE:RSG) has placed among America’s most successful companies. Rankings are within the capital goods/industrials category.
These results are part of a U.S. Investor Relations Perception Study. Analysts were invited to nominate four CEOs, CFOs, IR professionals and companies. Republic placed third in the “Top Companies” category, Jim O’Connor was recognized in “Top CEOs,” Tod Holmes placed first in “Top CFOs,” and Ed Lang placed second in “Top IR Professionals.”
This marks the seventh consecutive year that Tod Holmes has been named Best CFO by the magazine.
