Trash and recycling schedule
Trash and recycling carts must be at the curb no later than 7:00 am
- Trash collection is Tuesday and Friday
- Recycling collection is Friday
- Brush and bulk waste will be collected on normal trash days.
- Brush waste needs to be bundled into 4-foot sections that weigh no more than 50 pounds.

Republic Services observes the following holidays:

If your pickup day falls on one of these holidays, it will be delayed by one day. For example, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday, service normally provided on Thursday will shift to Friday, and Friday pickup will be Saturday.
Normal collections will be made on all other holidays.
To report missed pickups or for questions about garbage and recycling services, please call Republic Services at 800-333-7301.
- Garbage cans and/or bags, and recycle carts should be placed at the curb no earlier than 7:00 p.m. the evening before collection, nor later than 7:00 a.m. the day of collection.
- Place recycling cart with wheels next to curb, at least 3 feet from garbage bags, cans, mailboxes, and 5 feet from parked vehicles.
- Empty cans and carts should be removed from curbside after collection, before the end of the day.
- Trash and recycling containers are required to be stored out of public view except during the times allowed for them to be placed for collection.

Many Grocery Stores including Albertsons, Kroger, Tom Thumb, and Wal-Mart provide recycling bins for plastic grocery bags.
More Information
- Overflow - If you typically have overflow, please stop by the Permitting Desk for an additional recycling bin.
- Windy Days - Please place recycle bin lid or heavier weight recyclable material on top of your recyclables to help keep recyclables in the bin.
- Rainy Days - Recyclables become contaminated (and must be thrown in the trash) if they get wet, so please use the recycle bin lid if rain is forecasted.

For further information about disposal of household hazardous waste, please call the
Americans throw away more trash during the holiday season than any other time of year. The good news is much of it can be recycled.
- All types of cardboard boxes should be flattened and placed in your recycle cart. Cut larger boxes into smaller pieces so they fit loosely inside the cart. Carts that are over stuffed may not empty fully. Boxes left next to recycle carts will be collected with trash and wont be recycled.
- Most wrapping paper is recyclable and can be placed in your curbside recycling cart as long as it doesn’t have ribbons, bows or other decorations attached. Wrapping paper that includes foil or glitter cannot be recycled. Tissue paper cannot be recycled.
- Greeting cards and envelopes are also recyclable, as long as they are not musical and do not contain foil or glitter or have other decorations attached.
- Christmas lights and decorations that are broken or no longer wanted should be placed in the regular garbage, along with artificial Christmas trees and wreaths which are not recyclable.
Residential Bulky Trash
We will collect almost all items placed on the curb as long as they are containerized in a can, bag or box or tied in bundles not to exceed 4 feet in length and 50 pounds in weight.
- Stockade type fence panels must be cut into 4-by-6-foot sections or smaller. Loose pickets or slats must be tied and bundled.
- For refrigerators, freezers and any appliance containing Freon, you must first have a technician remove the Freon and attach a Freon removal tag. Please call Customer Service at 800-333-7301 and provide at least one day notice that a refrigerator that needs to be picked up.
- Dirt, concrete, rocks, bricks, and roofing shingles are not accepted. These items may be taken directly to the landfill.
- Tires may not be deposited into the landfill, which prevents Republic from collecting them curbside.
- They may be taken to the landfill for a fee, where they are then disposed of in the correct manner.

Bulky Items
Bulky items such as furniture, stoves, water heaters, washers, dryers, dishwashers, etc. may be placed out on your normal collection days.

Brush and Tree Limb Disposal
- Brush, tree limbs, leaves and other yard waste should be placed at the curb for pickup by Republic Waste Services on your
normal trash collection days. - Brush, tree limbs, leaves and other yard waste must be bagged, canned or tied in bundles no longer than 4 feet in length that weigh no more than 50 pounds.
- Republic Waste Services will pick up 2 cubic yards per service day, for a total of 4 cubic yards per week.

Special & Hazardous Waste
Hazardous Waste Disposal
The Town of Trophy Club encourages residents to dispose of household chemicals and other household hazardous waste in a safe, responsible manner.
- Richland Hills residents can take household hazardous waste to the
Environmental Collection Center (ECC) at 6400 Bridge St., Fort Worth, TX. - The ECC is open Thursday and Friday 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
- You will need to show your drivers license or other valid ID to show that you are a Trophy Club resident.
- The cost to the City for disposal of hazardous waste at the ECC is $50.00 per load.
- If you only have a couple of items, please combine these with a friend's or neighbor's to make the best use of your tax dollars.
- Please limit use of this service to one time per year per household.
Latex paint and stains can be dried or solidified and then can be put in the trash. Mixing in cat litter, sawdust, or a paint hardener (available at local hardware stores) will speed this process. Latex products are not harmful to the environment.
