Collection schedule
For residential customers, trash is picked up on Tuesday and Friday each week, except on one of six observed holidays.
Recycling is picked up once a week on Tuesday.

Trash collection occurs twice per week: Tuesday & Friday
Recycle collection occurs once per week: Tuesday
- Be sure your carts are set out for collection by 7:00 am on Tuesday and Friday for trash collection, and on Tuesday for recycling collection.
- Please DO NOT set carts out prior to 6:00 pm the day before your service day.
- Please place your trash and recycling carts at least two (2) feet away from each other and away from the edge of the street. Make sure that handle is facing your house, so that the lid opens toward the street. Please check to see that they are not obstructed by parked cars, boats, etc.

Recycling
Commonly accepted recyclables include: paper, plastic, cardboard, and aluminum. Glass acceptance varies by location and exceptions do exist, based on location so please contact your local provider for details.

- Stickers & address labels
- Styrofoam, tissue, paper towels, or napkins
- Plastic-coated paper
- Waxed paper
- Window glass
- Light bulbs
- Ceramics
- Cookware
- Hardcover books
- Polystyrene foam plastic (even if it has the recycling symbol)
- Plastic Toys
- Shredded Paper
- Solid Waste and Yard waste
- Hazardous E-waste
- Tanglers (garden hoses, wires, chains or electronics)
Local options for household hazardous waste (HHW) disposal can be found on the
Bulk, Brush, Appliances, Yard Waste
Bulky Waste, Appliances, and Yard Waste are collected on regular trash days. You may set out a combination of items not to exceed 2 cubic yards per collection day.
- Non-compactable (brick, dirt, composition shingles) must be in a container less than 50 pounds.
- Kitchen items, household/bedroom furniture, household appliances, hot water heaters, etc.(up to 2 cubic yards).
- Freon items must have Freon removed and tagged by a licensed professional.
- Brush must be cut, tied, and bundled not exceeding 4' length x 6" diameter, no more than 40 lbs in weight per bundle or item. Loose brush is not accepted.
A special pickup for any item over 2 cubic yards can be arranged for a fee. Please call Republic Services at 800-644-3961.
