Organics update (food waste & green waste) SB 1383
SB 1383 (Short-Lived Climate Pollutant Reduction Strategy) went into effect January 1, 2022. This law requires Organic waste to be diverted from landfills. Commercial customers are encouraged to reach out to our Recycle Coordination team at OCRecycles@republicservices.com to get started with a food waste and/or recycling program today.

Yes. Residents of the City of Fullerton receive unlimited bulky item pickups per calendar year. Unlimited items per collection. No building materials or hazardous waste.

Commonly accepted recyclables include: paper, plastic, cardboard, and aluminum. Glass acceptance varies by location and exceptions do exist, based on location so please contact your local provider for details.

CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLING TIPS
Prepare Your Christmas Tree for Recycling by Following these Guidelines:
- Remove tree stand, ornaments, tinsel
- Do NOT place tree in a plastic bag
- Place tree at the curb by 7a.m. on your trash collection day
- Place the tree alongside your containers,not in front of your containers
- Cut your tree in half if it is over six feet tall
- Flocked trees are NOT recyclable and must be treated as trash.
- Please call Customer Service at 800-700-8610 to arrange for a special bulky item pickup for flocked trees.
