Linde Gains Peace of Mind with a Streamlined Total Waste Services Program

The Challenge
Linde was dissatisfied with previous waste services vendors. They had little insight into where material was disposed of, and they faced confusion and miscommunication when juggling between different points of contact at different vendors across multiple sites.
Linde needed one trusted partner to manage all waste, inventory, box rental and other related services.
The Solution
We delivered a customized, centralized TWS package designed to streamline waste processes and help Linde meet their sustainability goals.
Starting at Linde’s Pasadena, TX Bayport facility, which primarily produces non-hazardous waste, we executed a two-week turnaround to ensure long-term operational efficiency.
With a dedicated technician on site each day — plus visits from a manager two to three times per week — we maintained an active presence throughout the turnaround. Multiple drivers rotated through the site for delivery and collection of roll-offs, drums and portables.
Our team managed compliance checks, safety meetings, waste organization and shipment scheduling. We also took care of the entire profiling process including sampling, approvals and paperwork, significantly reducing Linde’s administrative burden. Linde received daily check-ins from our onsite technician who was in charge of hourly inspections, roll-off level checks and labeling compliance.
To maintain Bayport’s waste services, we currently manage the pickup, profiling and shipment of:
- 10 total 25-yard and 40-yard roll-off loads transported via two separate flatbed trailer loads
- 17 flow bin loads transported via two flatbed trailer loads to our Robstown facility for deactivation of water-reactive material
- Two truckloads of mixed drums, totes, cubic yard boxes and supersacks containing oily waste, ceramic balls, mole sieve and floor sweepings
We also send Republic Services personnel on an ad-hoc basis to pull samples or take inventory.
The Outcome
Once we assumed full TWS responsibility, Linde no longer needed to manage any aspect of the waste they generated — including the coordination of drums, totes and roll-off containers.
Because of our rapid mobilization and responsive, meticulous service, Linde is now exploring a phased expansion. With Bayport as our model for replication, Linde would like to pilot our TWS program across 12 to 15 additional Texas sites, with some out-of-state additions. The long-term vision is to implement a full-time TWS program across Linde’s 26 Texas sites — and eventually to all 256 Linde locations nationwide.
