PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, is a group of chemicals that can be found in many everyday products, including makeup, clothing, food wrappers, household cleaning products, non-stick cookware and more. These chemicals are also a byproduct of some manufacturing processes and can be found in Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF), which is used for firefighting.

PFAS Solutions
We operate a nationwide network of specialized facilities to treat and responsibly dispose of PFAS, protecting the environment and the communities we serve while keeping our customers in compliance.
PFAS disposal – Subtitle C landfills and injection wells
PFAS treatment – Part B facilities
We operate several Part B treatment facilities that are designed and permitted to manage hazardous waste, including PFAS. Additionally, our innovative treatment facility in Alaska utilizes treatment where heat is used to break the chemical bonds of PFAS and remove it from contaminated soil. That soil can be reused as backfill.
