What Are Remediation Services?
Environmental remediation involves cleaning or removing hazardous substances to restore a site to a safe and healthy state. It also encompasses the safe transportation, treatment and disposal of contaminated sediment, soil and water. Safe, compliant remediation — especially for large-scale projects — requires state-of-the art equipment on- and off-site plus an expert project management team to execute each step on time and on budget.
Remediation services include:
- Stabilization of soil and sludge applied on- or off-site
- PCB site remediation, transportation and disposal
- Sediment services, including contaminated sediment removal, on-site water treatment, wetlands restoration and bank stabilization
- PFAS-contaminated soil excavation, transportation and disposal
- AFFF concentrates and firefighting foam collection, system flushing, removal and disposal
- Facility decontamination, decommissioning and demolition (Hg, Pb, PCBs, asbestos, radiological)
- Radiological remediation and waste management
- CERCLA, Superfund and Brownfields site remediation
- RCRA facility and impoundment closures
- Lagoon/pond dredging, cleaning and closure, landfill capping and closure
- UXO/MEC remediation
- Waste transportation and disposal via truck, tanker and rail (non-hazardous and hazardous solids and liquids)

River Raisin
We partnered with several local, state and federal organizations to clean up and restore a large area of Michigan’s River Raisin. In order to help eliminate harmful threats and preserve the Great Lakes ecosystem, we — in collaboration with several companies — remediated more than 150,000 cubic yards of contaminated sediment, restored 300+ acres of aquatic habitat and made 23 miles of the River Raisin accessible for fish spawning and migration.
Chemical Facility
We joined forces with a host of contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, disposal facilities and several regional and national railroads to oversee and manage all loading, transportation and disposal activities for the non-hazardous and hazardous waste generated at a former chemical facility. This project included excavation, dredging, landfill capping, water treatment, soil load out, rail operations and site restoration. When the site underwent an unannounced Federal Railroad Administration audit, we successfully passed inspection.
