What Is Measure B?
Measure B was adopted by the City of San Diego in 2022 and amends San Diego Municipal Code Section 66.0127, the People’s Ordinance, to allow the City to charge a fee for solid waste collection. This amendment also clarifies which types of residences are eligible to be serviced by the City. Eligible residences are those with four units and less on a single lot. Residences with five and more units are considered ineligible for City service and must enroll with a franchise hauler.
