Republic Services is proud to serve your community.

We remain committed to providing you the highest quality services in a safe and compliant manner. What you put in your recycling and waste carts affects our ability to reliably serve you in a way that keeps our drivers safe, our equipment performing optimally and keeps your neighborhood clean.

Our trucks use cameras to identify and document overage and contamination occurrences. Overfilled carts and contamination result in environmental impact and will result in fees going forward.

Keep Your Community Clean

Close the lids

Ensure all recycling and waste materials fit in your carts with the lids closed.

•    Breakdown cardboard boxes
•    Follow instructions for bulk pickup
•    Rent a dumpster if completing a large project
•    Increase your cart size or add an additional cart if exceeding cart capacity is a frequent occurence

Recycle the Right Way

Contamination is anything that doesn't belong in your recycling cart. When there is contamination in your recycling cart, it reduces or eliminates the ability for the materials to be recycled.

Know What to Throw

Only put recyclable materials- paper, cardboard, metal cans, plastic bottles and jugs- in your recycling cart.

Empty. Clean. Dry.

Make sure all recyclables have been emptied, rinsed, and patted dry. Dirty items will interfere with the recycling process.

Don't Bag It

Your recyclable items should be placed loose in the cart.

Never place these items in your recycling cart:

  • Plastic Bags & Wrappers
  • Soiled Paper
  • StyrofoamTM
  • Clothing & Shoes
  • Yard Waste
  • Diapers
  • Scrap Metal
  • Medical Waste
  • Construction Waste
  • Greasy Pizza Boxes
  • Tools
  • Food & Toys
  • Electronics & Batteries
